Might as well do it all. Here's a pano of part of our garden looking toward my studio. This was a real learning experience--6 photos in very large resolution. I've resized this way down but unfortunately you'll still have to scroll to see it. One thing that seems important is to take a panorama set with fairly even lighting or you start to be in trouble. My first ones blew out in the second or 3rd photos (not in this particular area but another where evening sun reflection gave me a fit) and, of course, ruined the whole thing. I still have some strong reflections in this one over on the left, but it seems you have to make some compromises at some point LOL. Now I need to get off my own 20 acres and get some 'serious' photos *S*. Diane

Thanks much Alpha as I respect your opinion. Slynky, it really wasn't too bad--maybe 1/2 hour?!? I used PHotostitch from Canon. It took awhile to take the photos though. I think it would be much easier if I had used a tripod, but I didn't so I spent a lot of 'statue' time LOL (does anyone remember playing 'statues' when they were little??) trying to keep camera at same horizontal level and overlay part of each photo and keep my body in same position but rotating.

Check out Ulead Cool 360. I got it free with their photo Express package (they give a ton of free proggies with everyone you buy). It's really cool for panoramic stuff, seeing as its made for it. Give it a look at...

next step, make it into a QTVR for a cool virtual panorama.
