Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2024 Nov 28 11:20 am)
hehehe...I haven't done anything with the horse because I am afraid it won't look good enough! I can't seem to get the daz charger manes and tails transmaps to work properly etc... I have my own horse so you would think I would try harder...but there is just something keeping me from doing it. I will try to focus on the horse when the cold weather starts up again here...now, I am just keeping up with the posts etc...not doing much artwork because I am outside riding all the time! or just outside enjoying the hot weather...

Any one who knows me or has looked at my art can tell I've never outgrown the 'horse-crazy girl' phase. I love horses. Finally upgraded from Poser 1 to Poser 4 mainly because it had a horse model. So it makes me sad to see what most folks do or rather don't do with the Poser horse. Usually I see the poor thing wearing the default brown texture with no morphs, bump or trans, posed in a way that a real horse could only achieve if it had a broken leg or, at times, a broken neck! Often in a pix where a great deal of time has been spent on other aspects (like the human figure - which usually female) C'mon boy and girls. There are a whole slew of free resources out there for the poser horse. bloodsong and lyn, for example, have some wonderful stuff. My entire family-oriented site, Pierian Piaffe, is basically there to provide free poser horse stuff. I'm in the process of posting all the horse poses I've created (with a few exceptions) to the freestuff and they will also be on my site when I next update. I'll also be adding new textures and morphs. You can make the Poser horse look damn near photo-real. Take a look at my last two pix in the Poser gallery. http://www.renderosity.com/viewed.ez?galleryid=68594 http://www.renderosity.com/viewed.ez?galleryid=67842 The textures and poses used in them are available in the freestuff. There really is no excuse for ugly broken necked and legged poser horses other than laziness. Have pity on the poor Poser horse. It's breaking my heart to see him abused so."Do not meddle in the affairs of cats, for they are subtle and will piss on your computer." -- Bruce Graham
