Subject: Question for those who have Bryce and Vue?

Is it overkill to have both? Since the patch seems to have fixed the poser import problem I am thinking of getting Vue 4, I just got bryce 5 and am happy with it. I guess Im trying to justify to myself they are different enough to have both, and to hubby who is taking a little more convincing.

In the famous words of Oscar Wilde : "The best way to resist a temptation is to succumb to it". You're not the only one looking for a reason to do just that, Tammy ;-)

I haven't seen Bryce 5 yet, but I've got Bryce 4 and Vue 4, and I would say yes, they're different enough. You can do sort of the same things with both, one or the other with certain things, but each one has its own particular qualities. One way to help convince hubby is maybe wait a couple months yet before going for Vue, since you just got Bryce 5. After a couple months, he'll probably have forgotten how long ago the last software acquisition was. ;)

You know what Tammy, I was the same way, but I am so happy I bought Vue....you have no idea....it is a wonderful piece of software and you will love it....I am not trying to encourage you to spend money but this is amazing.....I have Bryce 5 too, and well not to speak ill of anything or anyone, but you will love Vue. If it's any consolation Tammy, I will probably be getting Bryce 5 too, only because I have a previous version and I like to keep my software updated. I also want to play with that tree editor and the metaballs :D. But Vue comes first! It will always be my landscape generator of choice too since it's the one I'm most used to. :D Laurie

Tammy, Vue has a certain quality that's hard to achieve in Bryce and likewise, Bryce does abstracts a lot easier... I would suggest get both... I'm very happy with Vue, but recently I did a project that I couldn't do in Vue because the quality in Bryce was just perfect for that project, so, it's good to have both... Each, has their strengths and weaknesses...

Thanks for the help everyone, I think I will end up getting both. I do think I will wait for the first patch to be out of Beta, If I can :)
