Subject: Creating a simple object

Okay, stupid question. I'm trying to create a simple box (like the one that comes with Poser), but I need to have more vertices. I'm applying a magnet to it and I need more vertices to make the deformation smoother. I made one in 3DMax, but I can't apply any textures to it back in Poser (which is where I want to use it.) Any suggestions?

export the max box from poser as obj run it thru UVMapper to apply box mapping split vertices (to prevent poser corner- smoothing glitch) and export

That did it, Miss Nancy! Thank you oh so much!
