There is probably a better way to do this, but you can add new material using the grouping tool. Getting just the polygons you want to work with selected can be a real pain though; but once you have the area grouped that you wish to add new material, click on "assign material" and give the material a name. Once you have done this, exit the grouping tool and check the material properties window. The new material should now be listed. Rob

I created genitals objects (morph targets) for the hip area. But they are not showing up separately in the materials list so that I can apply a texture to just that area. Only the hip area keeps showing up. How do I get them to show up in the materials list so that I can apply a different texture to them? 1. Do I have to remap the object file of the whole body? 2. Do I use the grouping tool? Tried that but they did not show up in the materials list. I'm lost!
