Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2024 Nov 28 11:20 am)
Which OS do you use? If it's Win98, then you are out of luck. Either update the OS to Win2000 or use another renderengine like Bryce. The problem isn't the amount of memory available, but how Poser (mis-)uses it. As an quick fix, you can decrease the resolution of the tex and bump maps (from 4000x4000 -> 2000x2000). Then you can get maybe 2-3 renders till Poser hangs. I hope this helps. :)

This is the first time I've ever loaded this much into a pz3 file and I'm not quite sure where my problem is. I am using Vicky 2.0 and Mike. Asia and Kane textures. The angel wings and textures. Fantasy wrap and textures. Wedge hair and Anton's changing ponytail with their textures. When I go to render poser seems to grind to a halt. I have 512 megs ram and didn't think I'd have this type of problem. LOL Any suggestions? Could it be 5 lights is too much for it to handle? Does poser need a lot of free drive space to render? (I have poser installed on a second hd but it has around 70 megs of space free.) I really want to render this picture...
