AFTER taking the fountain turned pond pictures. I decided to study the subject more then saw what would be a real good picture. BUT at that moiment I also discovered that I was out of battery power. - FUNNY - I had plenty that morning!!! Anyway I would have to take a rain check and try again the next day I thought. i did have my 240 x 160 but thought I would simply wait. I arived today to get what I missed and ... You guessed it. This is what I saw. Man what a bummer. I tried to make up for it with photographing a bumble bee. But the pictures were blurry. Sigh. Can't win them all. Bsteph

Lol - know JUST what you mean! My Fuji takes 4 x AA (penlight) size batteries, and at an air show recently I burned through 2 sets of Nimh recharchables and a set of ordinary recharchables - and out of it got about 7 or 8 reasonable pictures. This camera is NO good for shots of planes.....lol

Really. I thought the fuji's were pretty good. Is there a sports setting? Bsteph

It wasn't so much the setting, just the angle of the lens on mine is a bit wide - takes in far too much and the 'plane ends up as a little dot in the middle. Big shame, too, coz the Stealth did a great flyover - only consolation is I took my SLR too (unusual for me!) and should have some cool pics on that - especially the motorbike display team and paratroopers - but the planes should be better presented there.
