Hey Everyone, DAZ wanted to inform everyone concerning the Millennium Girls. Please read below... Q. Is it legal to distribute the Millennium Girls CR2? A. It is not legal to distribute the standard CR2 included in the Millennium Girls product ("Preschool Vicki" or "Preteen Vicki"). However, we have created an LE (Light Edition) version of these CR2 files which have been stripped of some of the Victoria 2 morphs that are also included with the Girls. These freely distributable CR2s are available as a free download from the Millennium Girls product page in the online store, and can be used to create add-on characters for the Millennium Girls. This solution makes is simple for artists to create derivative characters without unintentionally involving any of the non-distributable morphs. Q. Do I have to own Victoria to use the Millennium Girls? A. No, these figures have their own OBJ and CR2 files, making them a stand-alone product and not characters for Victoria. Q. Can I use Victoria maps and morph targets on the Millennium Girls? A. While the Girls have their own OBJ files, different from one another and from Victoria's mesh, the Girl models were based on Victoria's geometry so as to have the same UV coordinates and vertex-ordering that Victoria has. This allows the same map to be used on all three of these models with no adjustment needed. It also technically allows the same morphs to be transferred between these three models. Because of the difference in proportions between these three models, however, morphs created for one model will give different results when used on the other figures. This accounts for especially unusable results when attempting to transfer morphs on the areas most different between the models (ie: Victoria's vs the Preteen's jaw, or the Preschooler's vs Victoria's body in general). We are excited to bring you these little girls and hope that you will contact us with your wish list of accessories for the girls. Send your suggestions to sales@daz3d.com.
