Thanks MikeJ ! The tip about wrapping a volume around the scene for indoor lighting worked perfectly. Here is the result, after 21h of rendering.

Wow yeah, this is great! That lighting reminds me of my aunt's attic, with all the dust hanging in the air. What a great "treasure" place that was, even though it was all basically sentimental junk. Hmm...like what surrounds Alice here! :D
