Subject: Millenium girl texture problem :(

pokeydots ( ) posted Thu, 02 August 2001 at 4:27 AM · edited Mon, 14 October 2024 at 2:36 AM

Has anyone purchased the textures for the new girls? I don't know why but for some reason the textures are not staying where they are suppose to. After I test render a few times, all of the sudden the head text goes to the body , and body to head. So I fix it render and add something like hair, and it does it again. I have only noticed this with the preschooler. Has anyone else had this problem? Or am I going nuts! lol

Are the textures applied with a MATpose file? If so, maybe that has a bug in it.

I did , and I haven't had a lick of troble with the gals textures, the mat pose does well. But I have PPP and I use the mat for that. I see the P4 mat and understand it's for the poser without PPP but what it does i don't know

I'm applying the textures myself not using the mat, and I haven't had problems with the pre teen only pre school girl, lol maybe I was just up way to late! lol I will try again and see what happens. Thanks

I have tos ay that I had that problem.... not using those textures either and not using mat files. I get the textures right, go in and change the texture on clothes or something else, and next thing I know the body texture is on the face ot vice versa... weird....

Regarding the millenium girl texture maps, can anyone tell me what the grey-scale maps included in the set are for? Thanks!

3-DArena ( ) posted Thu, 02 August 2001 at 8:16 PM

greyscale maps are usually the .bum maps

Do you mean the bump maps?

Same experience here as LSM above. Only happened once last night and I attributed it to accidentially having "Texture Changes apply to entire figure" (or whatever it is) checked in the Surface Materials dialog box. ...Not so sure now that I see your posts.
