Subject: MPEG 4 not supported?

During Poser 3 days, I used to use MPEG 4 as my compression method whenever the compression prompt appears. I believe this is the best compression there is giving me only 50Kb on what used to be 3Mb on normal Microsoft Video Codec. However after using Poser 4, I get a "compression codec not supported" reply. Will anyone who knows the answer be kind enough to tell me why. Thank You.

Hi There, I've just tried out your problem. I have had no problems whatsoever with this compression codec. Although I do have four entries of mpeg4 codecs in Poser. Because the selecter box is too small I can't tell you which version it is. Anyway out of the four it was the top one. I have just had a look at the codec list in Premier 5. I have two versions. Version 1 and version 2. I presume I have had success with version 1. You could try reinstalling Poser and see if it picks up on your codecs. Failing that check out http://www.terran-int.com/CodecCentral/ ... They may have the codec for download and you maybe able to reinstall it. Good luck.
