Subject: Need help with Depth of Field in Bryce5

Okay so I read the piddley paragraph on page 306 of the manual that talks about Depth of Field. Well it wasn't enough as I need help on how to use it. The manual states that you can change the focal length by inputting a numerical value or by selecting objects in your scene. Where do I input this numerical value and what does selecting by object do with rendering Depth of Field. How would I choose between sharp focus foreground and blurred background and vise versa? Thanks for any replies.

ok, first select the object you want the DOF to be orientated around, then open rendering options and select Premium rendering, then below that, select Depth of Field and click Set to Current Selection, exit out and then render. Ken

Cool thanks Ken, I already have it down and am now just fine tuning the technique. Cheers!

Yeah it sure is but man talk about adding time to a render! I'll have my first final image using DOF here real soon. It'll be for a friend's website monthly challenge so it's going to be sci-fi based. And yes I know when am I gonna get out of that genre, never! Bo)
