Is the foliage generater in 5 the same as Onyx Tree?

Not from what I've seen of it. But my exposure to Onyx tree was brief. From the way Corel was talking about the tree lab today at.. hmm.. a conference in LA.. one would believe that they created it. :)

Bryce 5 trees are generated via metaballs

The trees are an independent shape in Bryce 5 with their own menu bar selection. I posted a screen shot from the Tree Lab under the "Palm Trees - A simple design" post.
