Subject: replacing body part with prop, how to save new obj instead of cr2 custom geom?

Heys, perhaps you can help... I've saved out Eve's excellent eyes as obj, then loaded P4 female, imported the eyes obj (twice), replaced the p4 left and right eyes with the imported props (after positioning) and saved the new character... Now the eyes have become part of the cr2 as custom geometries! How do I make it so it references an outer obj file? Preferably a single obj file - as in the one I can make if I now exported this whole new p4 figure with the Eve eyes in them. I can live with them being embedded in the cr2 but I ask just for the sake of consistency and cleanliness :) (Why do I even want to do this? Cos the p4 female is lighter filesize than Eve. Most of the time I just want to play with the light stuff. And there are some poses, believe it or not, that P4 female works better than Eve!) Thanks in advance :)
