Ok, I hope you don't want to kill me for saying this, but I like the shot, I like the composition, I like everything about this image with the exception of one thing. I think you pushed your equipment byond it capabilities here. The image just isn't sharp the way Macro typicaly is, but it isn't out of focus either. I am not familiar with your camara, and am asuming it is digital, but I know that alot of the digital mini's have issues with macro, specificaly with focus, because the lenze is so tiny. (Digital SLR's however, are utterly usless when it comes to using wide angle, so there is always a trade off.) I think you have done a great job here, and if I am right about your camara, then this becomes a lesson that is always useful to learn. I know the limitations and stregnths of every system that I own, and i learned them by going out and shooting. for instance, I know not to use my Tamaron 28-200 between 90mm and 120mm, because it will alway be out of focus, or fuzzy. -Gabe-
Gabe, now, I want to kill you!!!11 ;oD ...seriously, my Minolta is good old systems camera with film inside it. I know, focus point is just litte bit too near. Blurryness comes from closeup lens I use. No ca$h to buy those fancy expensive macro equipments, so closeup lens, (or is it closeup filter?) is cheap way to do the same trick. So this is not actually macrio pic, just magnified. Thanks for a comment pal, always welcomed. Critisism is always better than praising. Alpha, does the tension work between flower and blurred background flower in the corner? I think the grain comes from scanner, I got A3-scanner here, and even its HP and really expensive one, I bet its no good for scanning photos. Grain may be from film also. Since I'm not familiar with playing with films, I use 400 most of the time. But, gotta do little photoshopping majic and voila, no grain. Distance to the flower was about, 30-40cm. And, now comes the shame-on-me-part, I'm not recording my f-stops. If I shoot traning pics, then I will, but else, nope. .n
