I just thanked Plazio for his 'milk bottle prop' and commented that it reminded me of POGs. To my amazment I found that not everyone knows about POGs?!!? Now I don't own nor can currently afford the DAZ kids but surely someone can teach these poor kids about the funner side of the playground! POGs, unlike marbles, made a big come-back in the mid 1990's. Anyway, just a thought for anyone looking for Mil kid pic ideas. Plazio has a cool 'old-time' milk bottle prop and the POGs would be simple to make (just a circle with some catchy logos - Don't forget the Slammers and Slammer-board!) For those who never heard of POGs: POGs were just the thick cardboard part of old milk bottle caps with a catchy logo printed on it. They were collected and used in a game take off from marbles and/or tiddly-winks. You had a Slammer Board (usually round) and a heavy wooden or plastic Slammer POG, you lay your POGs face-down and "slamm" your Slammer on them in attempts to flip them over. Like marbles, what you turn over you keep. Some kids even had fancey tubbed carriers or bags to store thier winnings in. Warnning: Some groups declaired POGs promote gambling and found the game unfit for kids.
