While driving around shooting out in the country yesterday (Friday), I came upon a window & door business in an old building. What caught my attention was the big "Pepsi Cola" stone carving at the top of the building. While there, an old man from a nearby grocery store came out and told me that Pepsi Cola was the original occupant, and they had run their bottling operations there from the early 1930's until around 1960. He also told me how his father had helped install those stone letters back around 1930 when the building was built. Those are some big heavyass stones, and they've been sitting there for over 60 years.

UH. Can you repost this smaller. It seems to be too much for my computer. I figure if it's too much for me it may be too large for somone else. Bsteph

Well, since I was a little kid in the sixties, I can even remember the pepsi cola bottles. Thank you for this, it brought back some nice childhood memories.

Must have been tired last night, or I'm just bad in math. NBD, but 1930 was 70 years ago; I counted it to be 60! I remember Pepsi bottles too, but didn't realize until now that I haven't seen any for the last 20 years. Or is it 30? sigh As to posting size, I post horizontally a 999 pixels, which fits fine if your monitor resolution is at 1024x768, which I understand is what most people use for serious computer work. Is that correct, or is home use still normally at 800x600? Any opinions? I like big pictures.

I like big pics, too, but unfortunately I'm stuck with this 800x600. Aack. (*

the average user uses 800x600, and it's more than the majority. I use 1024x768 and 640x480 (2nd monitor) personally. Guess what, the egyptians managed to pile 2 million stones for some pyramids, so this pepsi cola sign hoisting musta been child's play, and no, aliens weren't invloved in the pyramid buildings (though the working battery they found in one of the tombs breeds some interesting thought..) ry

Did they really find a working battery. Ha ha. I agree with Slynky. A hoist does wonders. Or better yet. Riddle me this, Batpeople. How did they build the Empire state building? Oh regarding the bottling question. You guys do realize that Coka Cola had bottleing operations all over the country! And they also used to bottle in Mexico up to perhaps ten years or so ago. I think there was one inf SF also. It was something interesting. But it gone now! Do you have a full view picture of the building? AND how do you guys post such large pictures? I have problems often with a simple 640 X 480 size picture. Bsteph
