Subject: Screwed up settings

ok - When I create a figure and then go to add a character item e.g. a skirt or hair on to the figure, the skirt/hair etc comes in out of alignment - ytran -0.003 ztran 0.021 every time. I've probably screwed up the something, but I've no idea when, where or what I've done and I don't have the time to mess about with this. Thanks for any help forthcoming. S

Is this a skirt prop or a conforming skirt?

Make sure you select the nude figure and not the conforming clothing figure before adding a hair prop.

Its a conforming skirt - from the characters menu. it happens without hair and to the hair also. If the figure is nude and I add hair it is out, if it is nude and I add a skirt, that too is out, by the same amount. it also happens to any of the nudes not just the p3 ones, but the p4 and the zygotes nude female too. bloody thing. Might just go for a reinstallation.

Import hair or a skirt on its own first. Are the axis still screwed up? If they are, correct them and resave in the library and try it again. This might save you from having to do a re-install. Paul

The clothing must be conformed to the figure using the "conform to..." command from the figure menu. When you put the hair on the nude make sure the nude's head is selected and not any part of the skirt. If you don't select the nude, the hair is being appiled to the skirt figure. -JH.
