Subject: How do I create a circular IK chain?

I'm working on a softball player swinging a bat. I know you can't parent a single prop to 2 body parts, so I decided to try to create a circular IK chain...but I can't seem to figure out how to do it. Any help would be greatly appreciated. EdW

Here's one method. Animate your figure swinging the bat with one hand parented, then go back within the keyframes, change the parent to the other hand and animate that one. The keyframes should keep both hands on the bat. -JH.

Allie Jeff Thanks for the tips. I tried to create the IK chain without IK on so I'll try it with IK on and see what I end up with Ed

Here I see that yet more people want a closed circle of linked parts. Come on, Meta-C, put into Poser 5 some proper way to do it. There are many places where people want a closed circle of parts: 2-handed tool or weapon; a scuba diver's breathing tube joining his backpack air cylinder to his mouth; control and hydraulic lines running across an articulation in a machine, e.g. a motorcycle's steering, or an excavator's arm, etc. Let it be that the user can put in the .CR2 file that part X must be in a particular position and attitude Q relative to part Y when X is not parent or child of Y. Poser sets up the rest of the figure, then acts as if the user had tried to drag and rotate X to the position and attitude Q.
