Hi, i recently bought a program at renderosity, and this character keeps asking for a *.bum file. When i direct to the corresponding *.jpg file it does not do anything with this *.jpg file but keeps asking for *.bum files. Can anyone help me to solve this problem ? in the material files is declared *.bum file but the program only delivers *.jpg file. Some peolple say loas the *.jpg file and poser will ask for will you convert to *.bum file but my poser propack does not make that question

Pro pack doesn't use the bum. Trow da bum out! lol sorry couldn't resist that one. You can use photoshop or another program like it and convert the jpg to a greyscale and save it as whateverbum.jpg from whatever.jpg, that way you don't screw up your color jpg. Then just use that as a bump map. You can go into your cr2 and after saving a copy of the original somewhere you can do a search and replace on all bum to jpg. Then it should stop asking for them. If I'm wrong someone please jump in a and correct me on this. Marque

There's a long thread on this on under my name a bit recently .... I'll bet your propack is on a 4.03 Metracrap version and not the Curious one. If so, you have a problem that is only resolved by loading another copy of Poser in another directory for the sole purpose of making bum files.
