Hey! HEY! That's pretty great! My next question is, is that Dina's mesh or is it Supermodel Vicky's body with Dina's head? Looks pretty cool either way, but I am rather fond of the hi-res mesh that Dina has. :) Laurie

Nice body, but the face still needs work.

I know Jim Burton had asked before if anyone would want to see a "Supermodel" version of Dina, but I didn't really expect to see someone else match Supermodel Vicky's size/shape/proportions so closely, unless that IS SMV's body with Dina's head...

Jim Burton ( ) posted Thu, 04 October 2001 at 11:36 AM

I could be wrong of course, but I think you are right, that is Dina's head on SMV's body. I think the only way the clothing (SMV's clothing) is going to fit properly is use a Vickie CR2, at least, you will never match the bend parameter's elsewise. Anyway, intresting project, especially if it is all Dina's mesh, as I intended to try. I don't see any particular advantage to just the head, as SMV already has a "Vickie head" morph that lets you use any Vickie head morph with the expected result. And there are a ton of Vickie II and third party head morphs out there!

You are right Jim, and Dina's hi-res mesh is very forgiving, so I'd at least like to be able to use the body. Dina has exceptionally nice hands :). Laurie

Jim Burton, a question I have your SanFransisco Hair can you conform it to Dina ? (it is a conforming figure no prop). It would be a nice update :) Mazak

I have to agree with rtamesis. The body looks great, but the face needs some major plastic surgery. She looks like a He in drag. I'm sure it wasn't intentional, but the lighting even makes her look like she has five o'clock shadows. But once again, what a world of difference on the body. Keep up the good work.

I'm probably going to break down and buy Dina, if so I could wip up a hair-fit pose for the hair, it shouldn't be that hard, I got it on the PreTeen, after all! ;-)

Jim Burton, That is generous. Thanks many times :-) Mazak

I have tried for so long to not comment on Dina. But, well, her face is not very attractive. Does it have any morphs to make her a little less, errrrrr....ugly as a mud fence comes to mind?

Jim Burton ( ) posted Fri, 05 October 2001 at 7:45 AM

Gee, what is going on here ;-) Now that I think about it, the above could also just be a render of a Dina head pastted on top of a SMV render. So what I'm saying is what is going on, is Remcreations going to make a Supermodel Dina, or are they just saying she could look like this - I wonder why no replys to either message. I'd like to think I have some territorial rights to the prefix "Supermodel" in relation to Poser (I am planning a Supermodel Horse, for instance) but of couse I actually don't. I would also have no problems with others building clothing for SMV, but as to figures to take her clothing, what happens if it doesn't fit (and I like to think my stuff fits better than most) - do you blame the figure or the clothing? BTW, while none have built clothing there is a bunch of nice textures for SMV's clothing, done by others starting to surface, I'm enthralled!

Daffy34 ( ) posted Fri, 05 October 2001 at 8:24 AM

I, as an owner of Dina and rather a fan of the nice hi-res mesh, would RATHER see a supermodel Dina...what I mean by that is a true morph of Dina and not Dina's head on Supermodel Vicky's body. Are you game Mr. Burton? I know you said that she would have to be built from Vicky's cr2, but why? Can't one just morph Dina? It would open a whole new market for clothes, hair and what not. I know I'd buy :). Laurie

Jim Burton ( ) posted Fri, 05 October 2001 at 9:56 AM

Well, it would be a collections of morphs, but I don't see how I could use her CR2, as SMV's clothing really uses SMV CR2 (which is more-or-less Vickie's CR2), so when you bend a joint the bends in the clothing match exactly. Otherwise it would be the same problem as getting the Posette's duds on Vickie- you can get them on, and they work fine as long as she doesn't move too much. Then you get a poke-through.

Cin- ( ) posted Fri, 05 October 2001 at 10:42 AM

If you got her body to fit though, couldn't you use Dina's cr2 with adjustments to make a new cr2 for the clothing? (I'm sure that would be a lot of extra work though). Or at least if someone wanted to make the clothing fit perfectly, to Dina's cr2, it should be possible, right?

Daffy34 ( ) posted Fri, 05 October 2001 at 11:23 AM

Exactly what I was thinking! I didn't suppose that Dina "Supermodel" would wear Supermodel Vicky clothing, but her own. They are 2 separate models and I think should be kept separate because they are both different. If I wanted to turn Dina into Vicky, I'd just use Vicky and nothing else. Laurie

Jim Burton ( ) posted Fri, 05 October 2001 at 2:42 PM

Well, I just bought Dina (been waiting all day for the link, wake up over there!), so we will se how it goes. Yeah, it might be possable to make the clothing use Dina's CR2, but I'm not about to do that!

Jack D. Kammerer ( ) posted Fri, 05 October 2001 at 3:25 PM

You should have the link by now, Jim, sorry it took so long. I for one would be interested in seeing what you can do with the mesh and would definately be one to purchase any clothing that you made for her. :o) Jack
