Just opened some of my older models (some that were downloaded) and parts of their bodies have rectangular holes. What the heck? Also, the P4 male is now missing his whole hip area! I checked the hierarchy editor and it shows visible. HELP P4 with Pro Pack

first the hip problem: select the area where the hip should be visible, go to objekt, objekt properties and look if the "visible" mark is checked. second holes, go to the geometrie folder where the objekt is placed, to every geometrieobjekt there is a corresponding *.rsr file, delete or rename it.poser will built a new one when loading the figure Hope that helps

Have you gotten the patch or update for the Pro Pack? I don't have the Pro Pack myself but I've heard about the missing rectangle occuring in older unpatched versions of the Pro Pack. Chris Cox

heyas; technically, that's not 'holes,' that's the old 'missing the hips' problem. go to the figure menu and turn the genitals on and then off. or off and then on. it should reappear.

thanks folks. the genital thing worked, but now i've got a nice hole where it should've been. maybe a morph would work here? also the shins are a perfect example of what i meant by the rectangular holes. some of my other characters have these on their faces, arms, almost everywhere else. how do i get rid of those?

I think I remember something about a problm with the grouping tool and one version of the pro pack. Can that be the problem? Grouping for Superhero masks and stuff might be the cause.

Yeah, I asked about the hole problem in the pro-pack a while ago. Updateing with SR1.2. and 3 had no effect. There empty polygons(no faces) not inverted. I have not found a way to fix it yet. I tried opening obj file in Ray dream and fixing the polygons but RDS doesnt export the materials. Lightwave is the other way around- it wont export the group info. It really sucks. I like the pro pack. But, did I downgrade in a way? If i figure out how to fix it I will deffinantly share how.

The missing hip: From what I've found out, this always happens when you make an attempt to load more than one Dork-figure. Switching the GensHip on&off does not really do the trick, since, if you take a real close look, the hip area is not precisely in place afterwards. The cure that I found (following an advice from this site way back when): If you want more than one Dork in your scene at a time, make copies of the P4NudeMan obj-file and name them (check for correct file-name) blP4NudeMan1.obj, ...2.obj, etc, as many as you need and place tham in your geometry folder. Then modfy the cr2's of the Dork-figures, which you would like to use (in a text editor or wiyh cr2editor) and let them each point to a different obj-file (or different copies of the same one, so to speak). Now, when you load your figures into your scene, all hips should be there.
