This month's TC (fabric textures) gave me an idea : How about proposing technical challenges that would produce additional resources for the Vue community of the forum. Example: - objects made of primitives - textures and materials (woods, papers, fabric) - volumetric atmospheres - etc... They could be made around a theme or a seasonal occasion. This could be a good use of the storage space of the 'annex' page. Any comment about this ?

In other words, the idea would be to create something, with the requirement (or at least a strong urging) to have it uploaded to the Vue Free Stuff? Sounds good to me, really. :)

That sound like a good idea. What about stuff from past challenges? I've got a couple objects made for the primitive challenge that I'd like to put in freestuff but I'm still sorting through hosting solutions for the long term. Rich

Well, hey Rich, I've been told that the Vue Annex, which is hosted on Renderosity's servers is allowed to be used for anything Vue-related, including freebies, and we have 50 megs of space. Only Varian and myself can do the actual uploading though, but if you have something you want to put in Free Stuff, let one of us know, and it can be done easily enough. :)

That sounds like a great idea.. Not that I have any constructs made in Vue, but would be interested in seeing what others would come up with...

Good Idea actually... Since I am not much of an artist but more of a modeller, I love the idea of a "modelling" or more technically oriented challenge. Joerg
