Subject: Questions about pinhole cameras.

While watching PBS ( Public Broadcast Station ) two nights ago I saw a special concerning this Photographer which had made tons of pinhole cameras. Including cameras made from pots ( 360 degree pictures ), Photomat booths, ovens, boots, ect. He was also shown assenbling the cameras however although he said he used film he seemed to use paper. Can one make a pinhole camera. Using paper only? Bsteph

OK. the first answer is the one I was asking for. BUT why is there a problem with reproduction? Can't a person simply copy the print? Using a photocopier? Won't the exposed paper behave as a negative? Bsteph

Plus exposing paper with a pinhole camera takes extremely long exposure times. the "speed" of most printing papers is around 6-12 asa/iso, if my memory serves me correctly. If I can find them, i will post some pinhole negative prints I did ALONG time ago.

when u make a pinhole camera, not only does it have to be lightproof on the outside, but if you wanna save yerself some trouble, I'd say the innards of it should be black as well to prevent any reflections.
