Good Luck! I've been looking for some stuff too - there was a site WWII 3D but that's gone. Apparently, it was a spin-off of Greylight who also had WWII props but doens't post them anymore. Born from this frustration, I'm starting my own WWII 3d site called Virtual Wehrmacht. It will have meshes from all sides/ props/ and figures. Hopefully, I can get some of you to make some contributions? I'll try to get the site up and running with a few things in the next few weeks.

I downloaded a bunch of the props and stuff off of WWII 3D and I would be more than willing to send them to you IF (BIG IF) we can determine that wouldn't get the redistribution police coming for me. The readme's in the files mention commercial use but don't discuss non-commercial redistribution. Also check out http://home.planet.nl/~nab00004/ for crosslinking off your site. Was there ever a web ring for 3D military models? If not then there should be.

I'm not talking about mirroring the WWII 3d site - but I can't even get a hold of the owner of it to see if I can re-post some of his creations. It doesn't pay to be overly cautious - as long as credit is given and NO one uses them for commercial use - I don't see a big problem -

Wasn't thinking about a total mirror but was thinking of some items to get the site jump started. There's a lot of neat free objects out there but it's scattered over a bunch of sites. Be nice to get it all in one place somehow. Check the gallery for John Mallis's work. He did some D-Day images a while back and I think he gave credits for where he got his stuff.
