If you import a 3D model into Poser. Then save it to the props library. Poser will convert it to a prop (.pp2). Are you asking how to model a prop from scratch? ScottA

If you are asking how to make a model from scratch, then you need a 3D modeling program. There are many to choose from with a wide range of prices. Anim8or freeware at www.anim8or.com Terrific for morph targets too. OpenFX free open source modeler at www.openfx.org Nendo - $99 from www.izware.com/ My personal favorite, not good for morph targets though. Easiest modeler in the world to use IMHO. True Space 5 - $299 from www.caligari.com/ Amapi 3D - $399 from www.eovia.com/ There is a free version available of an older rev. Don't have the link off hand anymore. Maybe someone else can post that. Carrara Studio - $399 also from www.eovia.com/ I don't know if the offer is still good, but Eovia was bundling a version of Amapi with the purchase of Carrara Studio which sweetens that deal considerably. Rhinoceros - $775 from www.rhino3d.com/ There is a great deal on Rhino right here from the Renderosity store for about $200 less by the way. I'm very tempted. 3D Studio Max - ~$2700 from www.discreet.com/index-nf.html Mirai - $6000+ also from www.izware.com/ I believe you can make models in Vue as well, but I'm not sure on that point. If so, that is attractive, as you would get a wonderful landscape generator out of the deal as well. Maybe a Vue user can clarify this point. I'm forgetting a bunch, but you get the point. You can find something to suite your budget, it's just a matter of investing the time to learn them. Virtually all these programs have free demos for download to help you make up your mind. The thing to be sure about is that any modeler you choose should have import/export of the .obj file format since it is the format of choice in Poser. Hope this helps. jon
