Subject: 3DS Import for Raydream (Mac)

Anyone know of any addon or extension to import 3ds files directly into Raydream for Mac? Right now I convert each object in Strata 3D to dxf then import each object.dxf into Raydream. Talk about pain in the butt.

I wish that I knew a better way. One of the best things about upgrading to Carrara was getting usage of 3DS models

There is a free 3ds to 3dmf drag&drop program called Imagery 3D available here: http://www.vargr.com/imagery/imagery3d.html You may have trouble getting the 3dmf file into RDS though, seems that it dosn't support quickdraw3D too well. I think there is a converter at Apples Quickdraw Tools site that has other converters from vrml & 3dmf versions 1 and 2 & 2 and 1 that you may try.
