I may have already answered my own question. I was wondering why Vicki can't seem to wear her high heels well in this picture. I think it is because the pose is not designed with high heels in mind? While we're on the subject, what is the best setting for shoes: 1.) Conform to figure 2.) Set parent? 3.) Something else?

It depends on the shoe... some shoes are made as props, which would need to be parented... some shoes are made as conforming figures, which would need to be conformed... You're right about the pose though... a lot of poses aren't made with the figure wearing shoes, so when you add them it tends to whack out the shoes... it's generally pretty easy to fix... make sure you're got IK chains turned off, then bend/twist the foot until the shoe looks like it's supposed to... you'll need to move the figure body up and or down too, to get the foot to be in the right position on the floor/state/whatever he/she/it is standing on... once I get the shoe the way I want it, I bend the toe so that it fits inside the shoe... depending on the shoe, sometimes you can just turn the toe off, or scale it to fit better... Hope that helped...

Yes, thanks. These shoes were in the characters section.... So they are not props, right?

Yup... they're probably meant to be conformed. Sometimes you can cheat and kill two stones with one bird... leave the IK chains on, then select the hip... use your y-trans and go up... it'll make her feet bend... but you'll end up having to fix the toes afer you get the foot/shoe pointing the right way. They look like the Sweater girl heels, right? I made those a long time ago, and they should work fine, except they don't conform to the toes, just the foot. So bend her feet down about 40 degrees or so, bend the toes up the same amount, and if you've conformed them Vickie She'll wear 'em well! Later (much later) I figured a way to have the toes work as well, the Nite Life shoes at DAZ are like that. But it wasn't a trivial task!
