Subject: Quick tech question about animations in broadcast quality

Stardust1234 ( ) posted Sat, 03 November 2001 at 3:43 PM · edited Fri, 09 August 2024 at 5:03 PM

I'm currently creating some Bryce/Poser animations and want to burn them to VCD or
,in the nearby future, burn them to DVD.
So It has to be broadcast quality.... My questions are these :at what resolution should I render
my animations? 800*600 pixels?
I live in Europe and there also seems to be a difference between PAL (Europe) and NTSC (US)?
What framerate should I use? 24 fps or 30 fps. Is there a difference in framerate between Pal and NTSC?

Thanks....

Stardust

For Broadcast use 720x480, NTSC at 29.97 0r 30fps is about the basic setup for U.S. DVD. Not real for sure about Pal, I'll check on it some and post another message later.

Do atleast one thing a day that scares the hell outta ya!!

I found out it's 25fps for pal and 29.97 for NTSC... guess I'll stick with pal (less rendering time) thanks clay
