I know that the latest contest closes tonight and, though I have reservations about entering, here is my humble offering. I should say that I did this picture the very week I saw the terms of the contest and in fact already posted another vesion of it in another gallery - not a contest. Frankly, after seeing other work offered, I'm conflicted -- daunted on the one hand and inspired on the other. I'm going with inspired. A still life with beautiful Trillium CD flowers and vase from some of my voluminous freestuff downloads but can't find a readme. Ditto for table. Run once through an Image Composer effect - (Dark Strokes?). Actually I made a variety of other different pictures but none I like as much and have recently taken up modeling - Anim8or - and time's a bit precious. Larry F

Hey Larry, that's very nice, really! I kind of looks like a "pop art" piece that someone like Andy Warhol might have done. Good show! :) And yes, this is the last day for entries, so you made it just in time... Tomorrow morning I'll be collecting the links to the entries and making the official "Now is the time to vote..." thread. Yours' will be included, of course. This is very pretty, and the contrasts you have gotten is teriffic. :)

Yeah, that definitely has a great "painterly" look to it... Also, like that red and black background... All in all, this is a very nice picture that looks like it was done with regular art materials...

Nice image Larry!...gives me a great idea. The wall in my hse is a bit blank at the moment. An image like that sure would do a nice job for 'interior decoration' :)

Hey you folks are too generous! But greatly appreciated. I'm trying to -- no, I'm LEARNING -- Vue daily. I think I can actually cite parts of the manual verbatim from so much re-reading. Plus looking at all your great work and I do mean great! There's nice stuff in all the forums but I pay particular attention to the Vue gallery. Thanks again. Larry F

Looks like something you'd go to a gallery to see and wish you could afford the price tag.It would look lovely on my wall.
