A long way from a finished picture, but something I rendered while playing around in Vue to try and get the effect I want for my competition entry.

Very good! How did you get the splatters and water trails? Great atmosphere you used for this, too.

Ah... should I really reveal my secrets while the competition is still on, though? ;)

Well if you promise not to tell anyone, I'll give you a hint...

alpha planes

Ahh yes...alpha planes... for me, the final frontier; unexplored, and alien..... I'll have to have a look into that stuff one of these days. :D

heyas; it's not a competition, it's a challenge. we challenge ourselves to try new things, learn new techniques. the idea is to share ideas and stuff. it's not really like a contest. besides, if somebody swipes your idea, what do you lose? you don't have to think up the next challenge, that's all ;)

Hey, this is great... But yeah, that was the first thing i suspected, since I'm very partial to alpha planes myself... :) Well, I guess the cat's out of the bag now... 50 people are going to start using alpha planes for wetness now... (just kidding)... :)

That's what I was thinking of doing...LOL ;). Even before this image. But I love the effect of this one...don't know if I could do as well :). Laurie

That is very effective.

Looks just like the view from my window right now.Minus the sound effects and goosebumps.

I've been playing around with this technique a bit more. I'm quite pleased with this condensation covered bathroom mirror.

I've included a cylinder to illustrate the reflection - oh, and I've wiped the mirror a bit so you can see it ;)

That's very cute, the wiping of the condensation... :) Nice effect...

LOL, that is excellent! :D
