Hello All, I finally finished this monster of a panorama from my last vacation. I envisioned it to be the mother of all panoramas. However there is/are some problems with the auto-exposure from my camera. Any advice for how to fix it. Bsteph

Obviously there was minimal touchup or color adjustment. i figure to fix the major stuff first. Bsteph

Well I can see two major blips in the image. One close to the left (where there looks like there was a lot of smudging), and one near the other side, which is a mere line straight down. There isn't nay one button fix for this man. I suggest ya start playing with yer unsharp mask options, your ways of smoothing out the seams and whatnot. If the seams don't exist anymore, and you have good accurate colours with all the images, and you get rid of those wierd smudges on the left, it should all blend in prety nicely, even if some things aren't in perfect focus. If it flows through well with eachother, it should work well. This'll be one of those projects that you'll always see something new to improve on, and eventually will tun out to be the monster you originally envisioned. speaking of which, time to upload....

Questions always get more questions! What tools do you have available? With a Photoshop or Painter, masking and layering can do wonders. I would get the sand color in the center foreground uniform in the originals. After the stich work on the elements

I have photoshop 5 but currently use Paintshop Pro 6 most of the time. The pictures were scanned in from about 10 pictures. I composec hte panorama using about 4 layers which I merged to create this final picture. Slink I can see the smudging. I trhink I can fix that but the colors are so different between both sides of the smudge I figured I would get help first. I am also aware of another section of smudge about 2/3 of the way into the picture from the left. BUT where is the line you are talking about is it the almost vertical one on the far right? ( I can see it on the original panorama but am having problems seeing it now. ) Sombody help me! Bsteph

not really a "line" persay, but the sand has a line running down it near the far right of the pic. Just a simple colour difference. I'm afraid yer just gonna have to stick this one out dude, there isn't gonna be any quick fix. You might wanna look into Ulead Cool 360, which is meant for this kinda stuff. It often comes packaged along with other full version Ulead software, which is really low priced to begin with (ie: Ulead Cool 3D, which came with a nuch of extra software). look into it, thers prollyy a demo of it.

I have Ulead 360 and a couple of other Panorama makers. BUT one of them increases the saturationof the areas of the overlap. I agree that it will take a while to do it. I don't mind the time too much. I think it will be woth it. I only regret not taking more picture of the uper sky areas. What is so strange is the weird sepia tint on the far left of the picture. When I saw that. I guess I gave up!! Slink- thanks for the support. I'll take a look at my Ulead stuff and see if I can find the software you mentioned. Alpha-thanks for the matching the colors using adjusting one layer at a time. I didn't think of it. I had used several layers. And adjusted the opacity and erased the layers above, clone tool ect. Thanks you all for the help. When I get this fixed. If I remeber I'll repost it. So you all can have a break at the edge of the Pacific Ocean! I know I will!! Bsteph
