Is it just the .cr2? Do they use the same .obj file? If I have a PC mike based character can someone that has the Mac version use it? Thanks!

With MartinC's maconvertor we can use most PC files no problem. Mac doesn't have rsr's normally and the PC files do .. that is the very base difference but there isn't much else. With maconvertor they work fine and the rsr's are placed where they need to be and everything.

Well, I've been able to convert most PC things to work on my Mac, even when they solemnly declare they will only work on PC. Look out when distributing Michael-based characters however! Mike is copyrighted material, and distributing geometry based on him could be copyright infringement. Check out the Poser section of Traveller's tutorials at: http://www.MorphWorld30.com/ He'll show you how to create a file that unpacks only for owners of Michael, which has been approved for copyright protection purposes by Daz. MacConverter performs the function that Objaction Mover does here. Have happy!

Oh and do they use the same .obj file? No, they don't. PC .obj files are unreadable to a Mac, but MacConverter can fix them! MacConverter, among other great Mac utilities, is free at http://www.soft-rabbit.com/

Actually it is the same obj file but it is simply not recognizable on a mac until it is strained or re-told what it is suppossed to be.

In the case of the MAC version, the .obj file does not include linefeeds. Other than that, I believe there aren't actually any differences, other than a few subtle ones. The .obj file is still located in the same relative path to the Poser executable, so a character created for Michael for PC should have very few issues opening up on a MAC, so long as MACConverter is used.
