We had a discussion here, where we all seemed to agree that FreeStuff items would be better if there was a way to leave comments about them.

I chose to include that option on my download page.

Some people didn't like the fact that they 'had to register' to get the free item. They were wrong, registration was only necessary for those who wished to leave a post. Clicking 'pen' and then 'donationware' gives the link to the download without registering.

I called it 'donationware', even though I realized that was a joke (200+ downloads - zero donations). You can see that I treated it as a joke by reading the 'donation' link page.

I am very concerned with creating items that are without flaws, easy for beginners to use.. and of very high quality.

I don't care for the complaints about the 'giftwrapping' though, from people who are accepting a gift.

It's not worth the hassle. No more free stuff for me.

I didn't download it, but I'll leave a comment here: this is a beautiful object; good work. Is it rendered in Poser?

Thanks No, that's a Cinema4D render. There's a Poser render on the download page. (it can also be 'tweaked' in the materials area) I had planned on offering it as .pz3 .3ds and .c4d files I originally had it as a .pp2 file.. but thought it might be easier for beginners to simply doubleclick a .pz3, then drag the resulting image into their props library. I also was able to reduce the polygons from my first attempt. The first .pp2 was 5mb.. the current zip is only 72kb

WOW welcomsite that's a really nice looking pen, shame people can't just say thank you and download it, but have to leave nasty comments which means that some really great artists give up and the whole community loses out. Thank you for reading this, I'm off to get the pen now :-)

If you let the jerks get you down you'll be jerked around your whole life. No good deed goes unpunished. The thing that would be nice about a comment column here is that most people have to be semi-responsible with their comments. That or retire their alias when their reputation is trashed. Sorry you had a bitter experience. In the end you do this for yourself. The cudos are very nice, but you're the man/woman in the mirror.

I haven't downloaded the pen, although I was going to. I'm sorry people were rude to you, I put up a little note on my site saying that the free items were just that free, and that I am only human and can make mistakes, and please don't complain! Don't know if it works or not, lol but no complaints so far! Your pen is beautiful and looks like you worked very hard creating it, it looks as though I could pick it up and write with it! Sorry to hear you won't be offering any more free items, because people haven't learned their manners. SO even though I didn't get it downloaded, thank you for the effort you put in to making this, pokeydots
