Wow... I'm pretty good with Poser and 2d apps, but RDS is still somthing I'm new to. The version here at work is the first one and I won't have 5.5 till next week. How well does RDS handle ray tracing? Textures - tiff? Compaired to bryce, how fast is the redering for still shots? And really nice pic. Reflective surfaces or multiple figures?

Hi Ikyoto, RDS has a pretty powerful Shader Editor for Texturing. All the textures in my image are Procedural Textures created with RDS's Shader Editor. Rendering speed is really nice with 5.5. Prior versions were slower on rendering. This image took around 1 hr on my PII 400 with 256mb RAM. But I had all the bells and gizmos turned on in the render engine. :) I wish I mentioned that in the first post. Yes- Its a reflective (Mirror) 4 wall room with a ceiling and 2 floors. There is one orange ball and one hand in the image. About 9 small spots to light up all the little white balls and 20% ambient lighting. I enjoy RDS. I have used 3DS MAX as well. RDS rocks for the price differance. If you have anymore questions down the road feel free to post and I will be glad to assist you in any way thay I can. Regards, Clint
