according to the BBC it was the good old missionary position first, presumably doing it doggie style didn't come in until cro-magnon!

According to Nat. Geographic footage of baboons, orangutangs, marmacets and our other brothers-under-the-fur, the doggie style is quite popular. So our cro-magnon forefathers must've been monkeying around quite a bit after making their new discovery!
