I was wondering if anybody know how to fix this little problem I've been having. Whenever I create a model and import it into Poser, the mmodel name is fine and intact, but when I go to the materials menu all the parts are named mat1, mat2, etc. Is there a way to avoid this so that it keeps the names I gave them in Rhino? It's been driving me nuts and I can't figure it out.

Is it OBJ coming out of Rhino? yes Stop off in UVMapper, before Poser, and check the map, remap if appropriate, and select by each material, and assign each to the material name you want. no Export from Poser as OBJ and do the above in UVMapper. (The options to use in Poser on export? experiment. But you can also assign to groups in UVMapper, or just open the OBJ file in EditPad and text edit the group names. At the minimum, you can open the model file that is saved to a Poser library and text edit the materials names in it, if this is your only problem.

Thanks! I will try that!
