Subject: Poser 4 & Windows XP Problem

I just bought a new computer with Windows XP and loaded Poser 4. The control dials on character body parts is not working. You can spin the wheels and morphs work, but the numbers don't change next to the dial and if I try to enter numbers manually such as .400 I get error message that "numbers only" accepted, i.e. I can't enter a decimal point. Any idea what is wrong????

Hmmmm. I don't have XP but what you're describing sounds more like a morph restriction. Double click on the wheel to bring up the settings of your particular morph and see if the settings are such that you can only enter whole numbers. Or does this happen on all morphs?

Check your country settings... Sounds like you have xp set to different setting than using a decimal. Ed

I've had XP for months and never had such troubles. One other possible idea....check to make sure the item you're trying to check is not locked. I had that problem with hair.... I forgot I'd locked it. Also, do you have the latest update to Poser, so you'd have v 4.03?!

It's what EdW said. The country settings define the decimal to be something other than "." probably "," you can change it by clicking ControlPanel > RegionalSettings

try the "," instead of the "." my german poser only accepts the "," .Or, as said before, change the Regionalsettings
