Newsweek (hard copy) Dec. 10, 2001. Page 60.

Sidebar called "Work and School". Doesn't say who did the graphics, but one is a business meeting led by balding P4 dork in grey suit and black shirt, complete with laptops, PDA, chairs, cell-phone, table and other props. The other graphic is a high school classroom with 5 students visible, using laptops. Class led by casual P4 dork at whiteboard. Desks, flag, typical P4 attire and hairstyles.

I don't have permission to scan and post a copy of it, but it might still be at newsweek.msnbc.com, if you don't mind all the cookies or whatever they have there.

You've just reminded me! My workplace just purchased some new vectorizing software (Scan2Cad)and Victoria is all over it. Manual cover, splash screen, even printed on the CD! She's shown swinging between two trapeze bars. Take a look at "rastertovector.com"

There's also a commercial on cable, for a company called Invent-Tech. They claim to help you get your ideas patented. Their example is a backpack cooler. At one point, they show a rotating, 3D character wearing the backpack. I'm not sure if it was done in Poser or not, but it's very close.

Could someone please explain to me what flying on a trapeze has to do with 3d figure modeling -- the Poser box and manual use the same image as the "rastertovector" people -- same idea, different angle. Do people naturally associate circus performers to quality 3d imaging? Mike

Not sure why Mike, although a closeup of the Scan2Cad pic reveals she's swinging from one bar called 'raster' to another called 'vector'. Corny huh?! Simon.
