I think everybody who uses Bryce sooner or later does a sea scene. I really like to do interiors, but decided I would try one. I used the galleon from Zygote, Poser dolphins and eagles, PSP6 for 'spray', entry and exit circles for dolphins, Painter Classic for canvas texture, then back to PSP for 'mat' and Blade Pro for frame. I have to ask--is the galleon sitting too high out of the water? I have quite a bit of ship underwater. Having sailed a bit, I know that if there is little cargo, you sit quite high--I'm just not sure about 'galleons'. Diane B

Pretty cool but I think it may be a bit too high ...Not too much though. Very populated spot of ocean ... Heh Heh Heh ... Might also consider some light on the front (toward the viewer) of the Galleon since I think there would be a little reflected light on there at least ... I like the picture though. Nice work ...

That looks great! I could put it right up on my wall and sail away when ever I wanted. Maybe the galleon is a little too high but to tell the truth I did not even notice till you mentioned. smiles

I'm with LilWolff. This is very nice work. Has a feel and look of 17th and 18th century illisrtations I've seen. DM aka Nite Miner

Beautiful image, only suggestion I could make would be to lower the ship a little more down into the water. Still a beatifulk image nonethe less

The image is great... yes - to repeat everyone else - ship too high out of the water. . . the only other thing is, where are the little splashes of water from the dolphins? I wouldn't have a clue how you would do that :) But it is an idea :) But the picture is grand ^_^ tracy-ann

Tracy, thanks. I agree too that the ship is too high, but am too lazy to rerender it. BTW, there are small splashes of water in the dolphins entering and leaving the water--you can see best in the front one. However, compression 'removed' most of it--I used a layer in PSP, a brush with the lightish gold (since I thought that's what would 'reflect' on the splashes out in the sea) and just did light strokes, then used 'smudge' tool on them--like I did the the splashes on the rocks--which showed up much better. Thanks for your comment. Diane B

Daine, okay - when I place it in Photoshop and then zoom in I can see them :) Hey - you should rerender, become a prefectionest :) giggle tracy-ann
