Just thought that I would say hi! I just found these forums yesterday and are a prayer answered. I have been using Carrara and RD for a couple of years now and have wondered why I have never came across a forum for help and such. This is my latest rendering that I have made in Cararra. It was for my desktop. The subject is avatars that I whipped up for my friends and me for our sub-team on a distrubited computing site/team that I belong to. Everything in it I made. There are 5 lights in the render (1 spot behind objects, 1 in each mug, and 1 distant in front)There was no post except to resample it to a smaller size for uploading purposes. Please let me know what you think. Dete of "The 3 Mug O' Beers"

Check out www.3dcommune.com, too. Lots more great forums over there (although I spend most of my time here at Renderosity just the same...).

Welcome! I understand how you feel; when I first started working with RayDream 3D a couple years back I found Renderosity and suddenly felt like I was part of a real community. I had people I could share my excitement with and not draw that "what the heck is a boolean" glazed look from my friends.... As for your image -- it looks cool. I really like the hands on the hilts of the swords. Good selection of colors, too. My only suggestion would be to add a bit of bevel to the text; it'd make the text pop a bit more in the image.
