Lots of post production, The face was Hand drawn and scanned back into the computer. Paintshop pro.poser and pc paint brush were used with a flatbed scanner. Im sure I could have got away without the scanner but It make things look cleaner and less jagged.

That is a wonderful image. You know, this guy seemed very familiar. It wasn't until just now that I made the connection. He looks just like Captain Haddock from the Tintin comic strip. The beard, the build, the face (in fact, the very art style you're creating): the resemblance is uncanny.

Well I can tell you I never saw tin tin or captain hadock ever, I drew this character this way because it reminded me of a friend of mine.

Looked it up, no he does not look like Captain Haddock, However I will admit there are similarities in the art style of the face. But my character does not have eyes like little Orphan Annie. And My character face is longer, his hair is shorter his nose does not stick out ect. Here is a Captain Haddock image you can compare it to. Is there some resemblance, Kinda but not tWINS.

Mouse, may I offer one small comment? No one thinks youre consciously ripping off anyone else's style. I think a few of us just find it remarkable that this particular effect can create something so close to things other hand-drawn cartoonists have done, even if marginally. When I mention characters like Harry Chess or the works of Konig, its a compliment to your skill, not an accusation. So relax; wallow in the glow for a while; then get back to work and give us insatiables more! =)
