Subject: Does "World War II 3D" still exist somewhere?

Lots of sites link to: http://www.noxgeo.com/ww3d/index.html But I just get "cannot find server". I've never been able to get it. Now after the twentieth time of realising how much I probably need this site, I thought I'd ask you here. I'm hoping it's just moved, but if it has actually died, then are they any alternatives? (I'm looking for military type clothes and equipment (currently a modern style gasmask, but there's always something else :) Thanks.

AFAIK there's no sign of WWII 3D's comeback yet.

& IIRC, there's a mask on the "Protect-gear" figure by "taruru" here in FreeSTuff.

Anyone recognize this one? No readme & got it 2/99, before I started adding author's name to zip filenames.

Aha! I just found that one on Propsguild. Thanks for the help. Although I'd still like to see a one stop for all this kind of stuff. If I had the webspace I'd consider collecting it together :)

Hey there Phil C, these are looking great! Finally a real BDU Jacket. (I can't believe it's omission from the DAZ pak.) As a former Army Soldier, I would like to point out just a couple of things. A seperate group on the lapel and the center of the Kevlar Helmet for Rank Insignia would be great. The Kevlar Helmet is a little bulkier in relation to the head. Did you include the waist straps on the bdu jacket? Do the sleeves include a grouping/morph for full length sleeves? Can't wait to buy. -WTB

Nice to know Phil C, I'll let you know. I was mainly wondering for the future :) This is what I have so far. More pockets needed on the clothes, but tex+bump will probably do that well enough. It's all free stuff so far as well :)

Thanks, yes I'm working on a long sleeved and belted set. Sundry insignia patches will be included.

BTW, Edison ERT, Police (by Howad) is also a useful one. The closest I've found yet. Black Ops soldier from 3D-CC has some good stuff too.

Here he is, more or less finished. My characters are always open, never "finished" so he might be tweaked a bit in the future. Its a pity that a lot of detail is not visible due to the black (but in this view the angle). e.g. I have a holster and knife as part of his vest, but you don't really see it. Oh well. I know it's there :) If I ever find reliable free webspace (ha!) I'll put him as a free download.
