Hi gang, If you are a former RDS user and have a lot of Shaders in RDS that you would like to use in Carrara you have to convert them to Carraras Shader format. Its a fairly easy process but does involve some time. You cant simply Add a Shader folder from RDS into Carrara. You have to bring the RDS shaders into Carrara on Primatives then save them to the Carrara Shader Browser. Open RDS. Add some Spheres Drag your RDS shader from the RDS Shader Browser and Drop it on the Sphere. Do this with several Shaders using several Spheres to save time. Save the RDS file in RDS format. Open Carrara Open the RDS file you just saved Open the Sequencer in Carrara Then select Master Shaders on the left side of the Sequencer You should now see all the Shaders you have loaded for this Scene Simply Drag the Shader ICON from the Sequencer and Drop it onto any folder in the Shader Browser. Wham - The Shader is now in the Carrara Shader Browser. I created a few new Folders in Windows first. Then loaded the empty folders into the Shader Browser. Then Drag and Drop the shaders into these new Folders. I hope this helps some of you out. If you have any problems and/or questions let me know. Clint
