Subject: what do you want in a texture package?

yes, I'm still working on this project, and here's what is finished for Vicky: 9 head textures & matching body textures (2000x2000) they are the same 2 textures, but of different shades 1 transmap for upper brow & lashes I have the make up file set up in layers and I'll just include that file as is (eyeshadow, blush & lipstick layers) I remember a few people asking for this, I have the file in 2 formats: .pdd (adobe photodeluxe & .psd photoshop) Planned: I'll do up 1 head texture per shade with the make-up already added for those who don't want to mess with the layers themselves. (these will be finished tonight) 2-3 more eyebrow transmaps versions for an older vicky scars & blemish layers the same as the make-up file rework a few of the novelty textures that I did for fun (animal based textures) character poses (if I can manage it, have the poses load the materials too) finally a whole bunch of other textures useable for clothes & such opinions? suggestions?

thank you, thank you the more layers the merrier. It'd be great if the skin grain, hair and blemishes/beauty marks were each on separate layers. good luck on your offering.

Some appropriate lighting sets if you can.

If the textures are the same, why duplicate them in the package just for shade variation? Just set up MAT files to change the base colour. Save on file size too :)

For the face, it would be nice if the scars/blemishes/etc were still visible but less so with make-up on. I have seen a lot of textures where the make-up mode does nothing to smooth or even out the base skin, whereas I view make-up mode as something that should do that.

As long as the eyebrows are not painted onto the face, I'd be a happy camper. I'd like the ability to change the color of the eyebrows so the texture is more versatile. I'm going nuts right now playing with textures that are perfect except for the eyebrow color, and trying to get the eyebrows to look right using dodge, burn, etc. in Photoshop.

I agree with raven, if the texture is the same then including all those shades does nothing but inflate the file size... good MAT poses can give you really nice skin tone changes.

1-files size doesn't really matter because they will all be burned to a CD. 2-changing the base color will alter the entire material evenly (blue around the eye is less bluish when you make the base color beige) 3-there may yet be modifications to the textures as the characters develop. 4-no lighting sets, there are plenty out there already and any I make won't be very good. 5-If I use layers on something then I'll include that file separately, If I just draw it on then there won't be a separate layer. 6-all eyebrows are from transmapped upper brows
