I've always loved my mom's hands - she's 89 now, and has really bad artheritis (sp?), which makes for a lot of pain :-( - but some very interesting hands!

I like the hands bur can you get them in a different context? Try to focus more on the hands themsleves. As it is now I think there is too much else in the picture. Thoses are good hands.

Nice shot Sweet, you really got character in there. I think this would look really good in b&w too, might focus more on the hands, just a thought...

Old hands always have the most personality. I'm kind of intrested to see what this would look like in bw too.

Her hands look to be in quite good shape for her age! Lots of color. What film are you using? Bsteph

Sweet, I love the character of old hands, I get to see quite a few in my job. These are particularly beautiful, I like the photo, I can't see how you could focus on the hands much further, they drew my eyes to them immediately!

Thanks, guys! I cropped it and decolorized it here, it *does* look pretty cool in B&W. She wasn't feeling very good yesterday when I took it, we're going down there again this weekend, and I'm hoping to get some more shots with a lil more "activity" to them and catch them from some more different angles. Bsteph, I shot it with a digital (Olympus D-150) in high res with no flash and white balance set to daylight - that's all the stats I can find on it....

Good work, really focuses on the hands, looks great in B&W, I think the vibrant colour detracted from the idea of age. You're really getting to grips with that camera : )
