There are two ways that leap to my novice mind. First, you can paint one onto your texture map. This is for trim beards and moustaches. A bump map might help too. (I don't know much about bump maps anyone for writing an introduction to bump maps tutorial?). The other way I would approach it is to use a magnet on the jaw/chin of your character to morph your face into one that has a beard built in. If you wanted to be real cheap, you could then use the grouping tool to create new material on the areas you've created. Then, just change the color in the texture editor for those parts. This will look horrible. However, if you make a new Map of your figure morphed with the beard with UV editor (The best freeware program ever, IMHO..) then you can texture the morphed part for great detail in your photo-editing program. You don't need 3dsmax or anything else. Just poser, Uv editor (freeware go get it over there-----------> and your Photoshop/Paint shop pro or whatever program. (You DO HAVE one of those don't you??) :) Good luck -Darth_Logice
There's a great beard object you can get, I believe at 3D Vision, called Changeling Man. It's a beard/hair combo object already parented to a P3 man, but you can remove the hair/beard object and use it on your P4 people, as well. The link for 3D Vision is on the side bar down at the bottom of this page. Melanie

I was just wondering if anyone had any advice on how to put Facial hair onto my poser figures. Do I have to use 3d Studio or can I use Poser for it?
