Subject: 3d Suite $200 discount coupon for Carrara. How's it redeemed?

Hello; I was thinking of getting the 3D suite that MC sells, which I can get real cheap through my college. It comes with, according to the MC website promo info, a $200 discount coupon on Carrara. How's that coupon redeemed? Has anyone done this? To redeem it do you have to buy Carrara direct from MC or can you buy it from a 3rd party store and send in the coupon and some 'proof of purchase?' I can get a Carrara discount through the college as well and if I can combine that with the coupon I'm looking at a very attractive price... Otherwise I'm looking at the educational version of Rhino (which sells for $195). :)

How are you eligible for the Rhino educational discount? I'd love to find out if I'm eligible. Thanks!

I wish I had a Student ID :) I want Rhino but can't pay full price for it. Why do they offer it at a discount for students and not everyone? They call it a "educational discount". Well If I had it I would have to learn how to use it! does this not count? Spike

Spike - The Educational discounts come with a limited usage license in most cases. Meaning that you cant produce compercial work with it. FYI - Clint

Dang I hate that! I like Rhino but for the price it should have a render engine built in. Maybe it's just me but I would like to see a All in one package that rocks! I think that Carrara could be that some day but not with all the bugs. Spike
