Subject: Lights gone?

Spike ( ) posted Wed, 29 December 1999 at 1:00 PM · edited Wed, 08 January 2025 at 3:18 PM

Hi Team, I have been working with carrara on a simple meta ball object. I had 2 lights pointing at the object when I closed the file. Now when I reopened the file the lights are gone. I know they are still there because when I render they case light, but I can not find them anywhere. Also the list on the right side of the screen in the render room says they are there. Where are they? Is this a bug? Has anyone else had this prob? Spike

The lights do not show up anywhere but in the render room they are in the list of how many lights. I have not tried to reopen the file. I will try that tonight. Spike

The only thing I can think of is that the show object in 3D view is maybe unchecked in the properties panel for these lights? DM aka Nite Miner

Hey Clint Closing Carrara and then re-open it did the trick. I guess this would be a bug. Spike

I havent seen one yet. You could bring them into Carrara Export as OBJ then Import that OBJ into Poser..?? That should do it. Clint

I want to make so it can be posed. So I have to split it and run it through PHI Builder. Just want to see a tut on all the steps Spike

Oh - DOH! Silly me Spike.. ;) Yea - Go to the tutorials sections here at Renderosity. Then into the I think RDS section - Maybe Poser section. Bllodsong has a few cool tuts and there are a few other good ones. It should be the same in RDS as it will be in Carrara... I think. Clint
