Every time I move or chang things I render it to see how it looks but it takes along time. I turn shadows off but it still take a long time,and I'm not close to finished work. Is there a way to speed up process in Poser?

Turn of bumps, antialiasing, and shadows. ;)

And use a smaller window for the test renders. Temporarily disabling the transparencies will speed things up considerably, also.

Also if your doing posing, try making a set of really low reolution jpg's for the testing process. They will show you good feature placement, but sport a smaller file size to not bog the 'puter.

O.K. It's 128 that expands to 76832mb viadia or something like that40gb hard drive*56k modem whatever all that means is I can't afford anything biger or faster, so I guess I'm SOL!

... expand your RAM (memory is getting pretty cheap). Your 'puter may be wasting alot of time "swapping" files in and out. This can ...s l o w ... t h i n g s ...w...a...y.........d...o....w......n..........:+}

And don't forget to turn down the map size on each light's properties - and even go for a single source.

And turn off the annoying "Render-man" :-) Go to MetaCreationsPoser 4Runtimescripts and rename status45.avi. That way Poser can't find that AVI and the little guy that walks along with your render will disappear and will speed up your rendering drastically. It makes a hell of a difference, I tell you! Regards, Johnnie...
